These Terms & Conditions govern your use of nixersservices.com, a platform connecting ID-verified tradespeople and professionals with clients across Ireland. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms in full.
Last updated: June 2025. If you have questions, contact us at contactsupport@nixersservices.com.
Anyone in Ireland can post a job. Professionals must pass ID verification and, for regulated trades, provide relevant certifications.
Funds are held in escrow and released in three stages: on acceptance, on arrival, and on satisfactory completion.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, including GDPR and the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Nixers Services Ltd. They apply to all users of the platform operating within the Republic of Ireland. Please read them carefully before registering or using any part of our service.
By registering for an account, clicking "I agree," or otherwise using Nixers Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines we may publish.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of Nixers Services following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
To use Nixers Services you must be at least 18 years of age and be located in, or providing services within, the Republic of Ireland.
Anyone may register as a client (job poster) provided they are over 18 and based in Ireland. You are responsible for providing accurate information when posting a job, including the location, scope of work, and agreed price.
To register as a professional, you must successfully complete our ID verification process. For certain regulated trades (including but not limited to electrical work, gas installation, and structural carpentry), you must also provide valid certification or registration with the relevant regulatory body before accepting jobs in that category.
Nixers Services reserves the right to refuse or revoke professional status at any time if verification requirements are not met.
All professionals on the Nixers platform are required to complete identity verification before being listed or accepting jobs. This process is designed to protect clients and uphold the integrity of the platform.
Nixers Services is a marketplace platform. We facilitate connections between clients and professionals but are not a party to any contract formed between them. The contract for services is between the client and the professional directly.
Clients may post job listings describing the work required, location, and budget. Professionals may submit proposals or express interest. A job agreement is formed when both parties confirm the scope, price, and timeline through the Nixers platform.
Nixers Services uses a milestone-based escrow payment system to protect both clients and professionals. The full agreed job fee must be deposited into escrow by the client before any work begins. Funds are held securely and released to the professional in three stages:
Released to the professional when both parties confirm the job agreement. This enables the professional to purchase necessary materials.
Released when the professional confirms they are on-site and the client acknowledges commencement of work.
Released when the client confirms the work has been completed to a satisfactory standard.
Nixers Services charges a platform service fee on completed jobs. This fee supports the operation, maintenance, and continued development of the platform, including verification services, escrow management, and dispute resolution.
A platform fee of 15% of the total agreed job value is applied on completion of a job. This fee is deducted automatically from the escrow funds before the final milestone is released to the professional.
Nixers Services reserves the right to update its fee structure. Users will be given reasonable notice of any changes, and changes will not apply retroactively to jobs already in progress.
All prices displayed on the platform are inclusive of VAT where applicable. It is the professional's responsibility to account for any tax obligations arising from payments received through the platform.
Nixers Services provides a structured dispute resolution process to help resolve issues between clients and professionals fairly and efficiently.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through the platform, users may seek mediation through the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) or pursue the matter through the Irish courts.
The following behaviours are strictly prohibited on the Nixers platform and may result in immediate account suspension or permanent removal:
Nixers Services is a marketplace and technology platform. We are not a party to any service contract formed between a client and a professional, and we do not employ, supervise, or control any professional on the platform.
Nixers Services does not provide insurance cover for professionals, clients, or any work carried out through the platform.
All professionals are strongly advised to hold their own valid public liability insurance appropriate to the services they provide. For certain regulated trades, insurance may be a legal requirement. It is your responsibility to ensure you are adequately covered before commencing any job.
Nixers Services may in the future require proof of insurance as part of the verification process for certain trade categories.
Clients are advised to ensure their home or property insurance policy covers third-party tradespeople working on their premises. Nixers Services accepts no liability for damage to property or injury occurring during the course of a job.
Either party may terminate their account at any time. You may close your account by contacting us at contactsupport@nixersservices.com.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
Relevant legislation applicable to your use of Nixers Services includes the Consumer Rights Act 2022, the Electronic Commerce Act 2000, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Data Protection Acts 1988–2018.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
